Wow.
I think I'm in the middle of an epiphany. A very long one. I forgot what it felt like.

....
It's an interesting realization to have while you're driving down the middle of Baton Rouge: God. I'm just tired of myself.
Sucky, sucky weekend.

Re: Sports
To...
... the hundreds of people who decided to park, make traffic, and wander around on campus tonight while I was trying to get to class...
...the policement who blocked off the street I use to get to my parking lot...
...the basketball team who was obviously having a game...
...people who decide that students who have a late class should not be allowed to park until after the people who want to see a game...
....::rude gesture!::
That is all.

Cox: the cable company that lives up to its name
Imagine a scene: I, looking particularly well coiffed and together (hah) walk to the Cox booth in the Union.
Me: "Good morning, Extraordinarily well-trained Cox Serviceperson. There seems to be a problem with our internet, and our phone. I got up this morning and they weren't working."
Extraordinarily well-trained Cox Serviceperson: "Well, your account is at zero, so it's not a payment issue. And there is no reported outage in your area."
Me: "Well, all right. Is there any way you could send one of you Talented and Punctual Workers to check for a problem?
Extraordinarily well-trained Cox Serviceperson: "Well, if you're having a problem with your phone, I can't set up a service appointment. You have to call our 1-800 number and choose 'telephony'.
Me: ::waits for the punchline::
Extraordinarily well-trained Cox Serviceperson: ::Smiles::
Magically, the internet came back on while I was on campus. But our phone appears to be well and truly broken. So I suppose I need to buy a new one, since I'm the only person who uses it, really. Stupid phone. It wasn't even old! My phones always break.
Maybe if I stopped dropping them....

I feel like chicken tonight
Well, not really. But I've still got lots of chicken leftovers, so that's what I'll be having. Five days in a row, baby!
For those of you who don't know, The Beast has died. We came home from vacation, and it just wouldn't turn on. It was even unplugged! So...if anyone has any idea what might make a television suddenly stop working, I'd love to hear - and even better if you can tell us it's fixeable.
So my schedule this semester is going to be a thing of horror - on campus from 10-9 on Mondays, 10-10 on wednesdays. At least the other three days aren't terrible.
On the good side of life: Strawberries at the Farmers' Market. Need I say more?
My roommate's told me that there's a group on Facebook called "Baton Rouge smells like broccoli." And I would agree with them that, at night, it often does. Or something else awful. But for the past three days, it's smelled like broccoli during the day too! I don't really like this development. What's wrong, Baton Rouge? Do you need some pepto-bismol?
