Y’all, it’s that time again. Also, the sound on this video is SUPER quiet (note to self: speak louder at phone), but it’s really not worth turning up your volume anyhow. (And I did try to fix it, but WMM does not like .mov files.) I tried a new stylist last night and had an awesome time. My salon policy is to leave it up to the experts. I went in with hair just getting below my shoulders, and came out with this.

I’ve been debating letting someone just do whatever with my hair. The place near my office hasn’t been answering their phone so I don’t know what’s up, but I was thinking I might just go to the place in Mountain View and see what happens. But then I might have to, you know, comb it. ;-)

I’ll share my hair salon success secret with you: I don’t just go in, plunk down, say Do whatever. I say Do whatever, so that it styles itself, because I pretty much wash and go and am more or less incapable of (or, really, uninterested in) complicated styling. So, I think if you go in and say ‘I don’t like to comb my hair, but otherwise I have no preferences — have at,’ you’ll have more success. It’s all about the dialog.

It also helps if the person you find is easy to chat with, and interested in horses. In my experience.

Yes, yes. I was joking about not wanting to comb it. I had good success once and less so the other times I’ve tried that. They kept wanting more details. We’ll see what I end up doing this time.

I think my favorite part of this was the giggle that sounded like possibly Gizmo from Gremlins and short.

    I already miss you. Sigh.
