» trick or treat

Saturday was vet day and the Halloween party out at the barn. Everett was a rockstar for the vet; he had to get a flu vaccine, which is intranasal, which means they shoved this tube up his nose and squirted in the vaccine — some kind of vapor, I think? He didn’t exactly like it, but the fussing was very minimal. And later on he got to bob for apples (he didn’t get one, but the only horses who did were both Arabs — Arabs are smart as hell), and be lead all over by a delighted two-year-old. It was a very good day.

That picture of Alex is so cute! And I’m sure the reason Everett didn’t get an apple is because he didn’t want one. He could have gotten one if he’d really tried, but he didn’t want to show off. ;-) I can’t wait to meet him!

i’m going to ignore the fact that you’ve yet to write or post pictures about peru and instead squee about your horse.

I know, I know, I’m horrible. I also haven’t sent my evaluation in to the volunteer people, or the pictures back down to the people we met in San Pedro (though, to be fair, they also haven’t sent me the recipes they promised). But just look at Ev’s sweet little face! How could you not want to spend every waking second with him?!

I should get a horse so that I have a good excuse for not posting my Peru pictures!
