Voila! The new furniture:

And though I also have a new camera, these are the washed-out cameraphone pics I snapped right after these were delivered, because at the time I wasn’t sure I was going to keep the camera, etc etc. Anyhow, the furniture is fantastically comfortable, and I am happy to report that the couch is excellent for both reading and dozing.

And, speaking of reading, Lullabies for Little Criminals by Heather O’Neill completely rocked my socks off — and took over my life for a few days. It’s been a while since a book’s taken me out of commission for hours and hours, and I’ve missed that (though it did nothing to help my recent insomnia). Highly recommended.
