» the great tit debate

This post is about tits. I’m cutting it because I suddenly remembered that my dad used to know this url. So, dad, don’t read this one. Or — anyone else who shouldn’t. Don’t.

» the passion

So, I finally saw The Jesus Chainsaw Massacre The Passion last night. It was…not what I expected. I mean, I know what ‘the passion’ is, but I was expecting something more in the ‘Life & Times of Jesus’ vein. Ah, in case you haven’t seen it and don’t want to hear any more, I’ll cut:

» lost in la plata

Wednesday morning while I was in the kitchen making toast my dad called from the living room that a plane had gone down in Kirksville. Of course my first thought was Ha ha, funny. Because that’s just the sort of thing he’d make up. But then we flipped through a few channels and found the story again.

Sure enough, early yesterday morning (or perhaps late Tuesday night), a plane went down just a few miles out from the La Plata airport. As of then there were five people missing. I haven’t checked any further as I was monumentally busy yesterday and largely so today (thank god for this lunch break).

I’m just glad it didn’t happen a year ago, since then Katie and Kathy probably would not have been so glad to fly out on that same commuter flight. Then again, Katie didn’t believe me that they’d be landing practically in the middle of a field anyway. ;)

» together forever

Generally I shy away from layouts that have superdark backgrounds and light text, because they’re harder on the eyes than something the other way around. But I wanted to do something for Halloween, and this just popped into my head one day, so I went with it.

If you’re not seeing the new layout and would like to, it’s listed as ‘together forever’ under the ‘skins’ choices (which are I believe either to the left, right, or at the very bottom of your screen, depending on your current view). I think I’ve fixed all the little glitches, but please let me know if anything’s weird. Unless you’re using Firefox, Bryce. I don’t have that installed on this computer, so I won’t be checking any of my layouts against it any more. Sorry. I know you’re a quarter of my readers, but it’s just too much of a diva to work with.

Screencaps are from Fatal Frame II, which is a fabulously creepy videogame, if you’re not familiar.
